A Circle is your Care Village for one person — everyone helping out shares it. Whoever creates a Circle becomes its decision-maker, with permission to approve new members, edit the Circle, and hand the role to someone else. Everyone else is an approved member, able to post updates and view needs and preferences, but not change who's in the Circle.

One member can be marked as the person being cared for under Members — that unlocks Thinking of You messages for them.

The decision-maker invites people by name and email from the Circle page. The invitee gets an email with a join link, creates an account, and becomes a pending member — able to log in, but not yet see the Circle's content.

The decision-maker approves them from the Members list, which unlocks full access immediately and sends the new member an email letting them know. The decision-maker's Invites card shows every invite sent and its status — pending, accepted, or expired.

Post updates for everyone in the Circle instead of a scattered group text. Posting also updates your "last checked in" time on the Members list, so it's easy to see who's been showing up.

Needs are the concrete help someone could use — meals, transportation, medication reminders. Preferences are the things that matter but don't fit a task list — favorite foods, what helps on a hard day. The decision-maker can add, edit, and delete both; every member can view them.

A short note to the person being cared for, kept separate from logistics — visible once someone's been marked as the person being cared for under Members. Anyone in the Circle can send one.

You'll get an email when you're invited and when you're approved. While you have a Circle page open, new posts, messages, and membership changes appear automatically — no need to refresh.
